Las Vegas, Nevada
Las Vegas Nevada celebrates 75 years of legal gambling today.
Who would've thought that a few gold miners playing poker, roulette and craps in the back room of a saloon with a good time gal by their side would have become the pioneers that placed Las Vegas ahead of Monte Carlo as the world's gambling capital?
Once Nevada legalized gaming, it became an instant attraction for tourists who loved the glitz and glamour of massive hotels, casinos and shows along with other adult activities that could be found in abundance.
Today it’s believed that Las Vegas brings in revenues well in excess of $10 billion a year.
Happy Birthday, Vegas!
