The first thing you should know is that betting systems will not improve your odds of winning, the house percentage will remain the same whatever system you choose but for most players its necessary to have some kind of strategy.
Take roulette for example, one of the most common ways of playing this game is simply to place your chips on the numbers that represent family birthdays, etc. Another popular play is to bet the numbers that your favorite football or basketball players wear on their shirts. It should be quiet obvious that it didn’t take a genius to come with either of these masterful plans.
THE MARTINGALE system is the most publicised strategy and is often the topic of conversation among casino employees as well as punters. The idea of the Martingale system is to start with the lowest bet possible and after each losing bet you simply double up until you hit a winner, so if you start with a $1 bet and lose your next bet would be $2 lose and your wager now becomes $4 then $8. Finally you hit a winner and get paid $8. You're now $1 ahead and this pattern starts all over again from a $1 stake, the only flaw in this system is the table limit. Eventually you will have a losing streak that takes you to the maximum bet and at this point the party’s over.
THE GRAND MARTINGALE system. This one is very similar, it says add $2 after each losing bet. This way you double you’re winnings but be warned you will get to the table maximum much faster.
Inside the swag bag:
If you’re going try either of the two systems above first check the table minimum to maximum spread, $1-$200 is better than $1-$100. The Martingale systems can be used on almost any casino game though personally I don’t put much stock into systems that chase losing money.
