Pai Gow Poker

Pai Gow Poker is a version of an ancient Chinese game, not unlike dominoes.

Pai Gow Translates To 'Make Nine'

The pace of Pai Gow Poker is much slower than most of the Casino games, such as Black Jack, Roulette and Craps. The Casino's edge in Pai Gow Poker is 2.5%, however you can improve on this with good strategy.

How To Play Pai Gow Poker

In Pai Gow Poker each player receives 7 cards, these must be arranged so that you have two hands. The first hand must have 5 cards and is known as the high hand. Your second hand has 2 cards and is known as the low hand, you must win both hands to become a winner.

Pai Gow Poker uses a standard 52 card deck with one additional Joker, this Joker is not a wild card it can only be used as an Ace or a card that would complete a Straight or a Flush. One player is designated the Banker, but all players will have the opportunity to become the Banker. Seven cards are delt to every position on the table, whether players are seated or not. The dealer must place 7 cards in front of every position playable. If you win only one of the two hands in Pai Gow Poker this would be a 'push'.

A 5% commission is taken out by the Casino on all winning bets even if you're the Banker. This 5% commission is taken from the net, not the gross.
